Chit and the Madisons at the Blue Eagle
The 6922nd Security Wing Kuyas were special aficionados of a Filipino band called Chit and the Madisons. Whenever they played at the Blue Eagle, there was a guarantee that many of the Kuyas would be on hand enjoying the band play, especially listening to Chit and Rudy sing.

In honor of Chit and the Madisons, this page is dedicated to them with a special Salamat! (Thank You) for all of the good times, good memories and their friendship.

Be honest...Didn't everyone have a crush on Chit?

I think those were taken in 1968, when they first bought the club.  Around the time that Chit's father passed away.

Any idea where any of them are NOW??

I kind of remember Rudy had plans to move to New Jersey back then.  Don't know if he ever did.

I wish I was there for that picnic.  I WAS there when we had the band booked at the Airman's club for a month. They did a Sunday afternoon show and it was standing room only.  They got all decked out in tuxes and Chit in gowns.  Problem was that AFTER doing that show, they still had to go to town and do their show in the club.  The money was great, but they were exhausted.

You know this sign would drawn in the GIs
Rudy is at the keyboard, Chit is strolling the floor and Nell on the guitar
Rudy is belting out a tune
Chit is doing her own solo
Kevin "Pooh Bear" Brown's picture of the Madisons.
Chit taking a break while the band played on.
Getting ready to play the sax
A lot of effort put into this song
The members of the Madisons were Chit Mercado and Rudy (lead singers), Rey Aquino (lead guitar), Pancho (bass guitar/manager), Moody Reyes (keyboard), Bert Velarde (drums), and I think the sax player was named Efren ? Can anyone help?
