Kuyas Reunion 2008 - Saint Louis
The Kuya Reunion 2008 in Saint Louis was a great success. Thanks to Don Orbin and his wife, Kuyette Connie, for organizing this year's reunion with assistance from Randy Roberts, Joe Cybulski and Bruce Suits. A special thanks to Hippo and Neal for bringing Wisconsin bratwursts and Tom Lanfranca and Kuyette Lucille for bringing delicious, homemade Italian sausages for the picnic. A great time was had by all. Lots of laughs, good memories, seeing old friends, and camaraderie. Unfortunately, tragedy struck the last day of the reunion. Our dear, gentle Kuya, Dave Quate, passed away suddenly in his room early on the last day of the reunion. While we mourn his loss, we are convinced Dave went peacefully in the company of his Kuyas who cared about him deeply and about whom he cared. Sumama na Diyos (Go with God).

Here are some pictures from the Kuya Reunion 2008. The pictures have been broken down by location of the events. Wednesday and Thursday were meet and greet (and drink) on the Patio and the Hospitality Suite; Friday was the BBQ/Picnic; and Saturday was the banquet. Special Thank you for sending all of the picture (over 300) from Darryl Ratcliff, Miki Collins, Kram Kramarsic, Sharon Wade and Ed Payne
Meet and Greet On The Patio
Vic "Chili Bean" Kelly cheesing hard as he attempts to abscond with Darryl "Ratman" Ratliff's wife Michelle's camera bag.
Fred "Magoo" Miguel chats with Ratman.  Al "Goldy" Goldsworthy (foreground) apparently has gone into intercept search mode...Give it to the 202s as a XXXS ditties.

Random Randy wanted a Magoo but Norm told him to get his own breakfast!
Don & Connie Orbin - Somebody needs a time out and it's not Connie. Take away Don's beer and he can get surly.
Don Orbin's 'Vette and 6922nd license plate
Hippo is quite content getting a hug from Connie Orbin as he hot breaths heavy. Hey Hip, if you only had a red 'Vette! Hippo kept asking Connie to get him a Magoo from the bottom of the cooler. Do ya think he was checking cleavage? You Animal!
Man Down! Man Down! Jack "Ironman" Sverchek gets an assist from Cy. Note he didn't spill a drop of the Magoo. Jack's excuse: "I was going to sit on the cooler." Well, you missed by 2 ass lengths! Almost like the Shakem-up parties and bar stools, eh Jack?
Kram and Kathy Kramarsic on the patio. Kathy was telling Kram "It's okay, Ken, I still feel your heart beating."
Vic "Chili Bean" and Mary Helen Kelly posing in front of the patio garden.
Ma and Marv Campbell - surrogate Kuya parents. Marv's thinking "Should I tell her what they're up to now?"
Kuyette Michelle and Darryl "Rat" Ratliff. Sure, she happy now but Rat is wondering why her fingers are firmly gripping the back of his neck.
Swede Swanson, Jack Sverchek and Mouse. Swede, paper cup? Is that coffee you're drinking?
Kevin "Pooh Bear" Brown, Mark "Marco" Vellinga, Chili Bean, Mouse, and Norm Collins
Joe "Cy" Cybulski, Bob "Si Bob" Harris, Kuyette JoAnne Harris and Mouse
Tom "Franko" Lanfranca, Kuyette Lucille Lanfranca and Cy. Hippo, worn out about Connie's hug, sits with Swede and Neal in the background.
Too much Town Running for Kuyette Jenny Sexton. John "Satch" Sexton has taught her well! She's pacing herself for the rest of Long Break!
Jenny and John "Satch" Sexton at the Augusta Winery. Oh, that's how Jenny ended up on the couch.
Don and Connie Orbin enjoying the visit to the Augusta Winery.
Norm and Miki Collins chat with Laurie Patafio.
Okay, if we didn't know better you'd think Mary Cybulski and Bruce "Zoot" Suits were married.
Mary found her true lubs, Joe "Cy" Cybulski, dropping Zoot like a bad habit.
The Orbins meeting and greeting with Tom "Franko" Lanfranca and Mary and Ralph Rotunno in the foreground.
Rat and Michelle Ratliffe wondering if they can get some Tuba coconut wine. Michelle thought she needed her badge to get in.
Al "Pogi" Shirley is getting his fireman's helmet autographed by Norm Collins, our retired Kuya real fireman. I think he'll look swell in his peddle-powered fire truck as he makes siren sounds.
Ratman and Randy "Random" Roberts getting close on the patio.
Tom Lear and Ratman at the Winery. By the look of things, they both enjoyed the wine, maybe it was Tuba.
LeeAnn and Fred Miguel, both fine wine connoisseurs, enjoy wine and crackers and discuss the merits of the bottle of White Zinfandel on the table. Says Freddie "It has a nice bouquet, but it's slightly presumptuous."
