The 3RD 6922nd SW/SG Kuya Reunion was held in San Antonio. A great time was had by all. Our deepest thanks to Norm and Miki Collins, Woody and Lita Wood (our San Antonio connections), Randy Roberts, Bruce "Zoot" Suits, Joe "Cy" Cybulski for making many phone calls for reservations (hotel, dinner, and band instruments), Greg "Turk" Taylor for his help in getting the "Fresh Garbage Resucitated" Tour and Dave Davies, the youngest guitar player in the band and friend of Zoot, Turk and Cy, for filling in as part of Fresh Garbages' Youth drive. ((Poor Cy's bass drum kept smacking his shin and he was walking wounded for a while and Turk's guitar strings cut up his wussy, billy boy fingers from all of that hot strummin'.
But, most of all, a huge "Salamat Po" to all of the Kuyas that attended the festivities. It was just one more of the greatest times possible with people we all care about and enjoy being with.
Thanks to Randy for the Reunion 2004 T-Shirts and Bob Strand for the Cobra Reunion hats. They sure helped spruce up our wardrobes!
NOTE: If you didn't get a T-Shirt, below is a picture (Front and Back). Get in touch with Randy Roberts and you can be a proud owner for the very low cost of $12 (48 PI pesos). Haven't talked with Bob Strand but I believe he may be able to accomodate you with a black Cobra hat with red lettering and a green cobra on the front for $9. Get in touch with Randy or Bob ASAP.
There was only one minor glitch, there was a professional photographer who was contracted to take a group picture before Saturday night's festivities. Well, he was a no-show and darned if the rest of us with cameras forgot to take any group shots. But, you can definitely get a flavor for the fun and great times with the pics here on the House. We really do need a Scream Sheet to cover all of the random activities, especially the stop after the BBQ.
The pictures for Reunion 2004 are broken up for each major day of the reunion. Page one is at the Clarion Riverwalk Hospitality Suite; Page two is the BBQ at Stillman Park, Lackland; and, Page three is the Night at the Blue Eagle (banquet room of the Clarion where we had one damn fine time). The Clarion was a great spot. They let us carry on and the site itself had a beautiful view of San Antonio with the Riverwalk just outside the door. If you have any pics you would like put on the site, please contact Mouse (Daga1968@charter.net)
